I fell into pyroengraving gourds while I was living in Japan about 7 years ago and have been crazy about it since! I have been a crafter for many years, however, I have never found anything that keeps my attention like this does. Each gourd I create is numbered, dated and signed and crafted to last a lifetime!!!!!

Most of the work I'm doing currently is pyroengraved, or more commonly called "Woodburned". If you aren't familiar with this technique you can view my on-line tutorial to learn more.

I use various techniques of finishing. Usually, polyurethane, Tung Oil Varnish, or Danish Oil. All of them (excluding birdhouses) are finished on the inside also!

Please E-mail me with any questions concerning the availability of a specific gourd you see on this site or if you would like to have one custom made. I will answer ALL E-mails!

For those of you in Okinawa, Japan......Thanks to all of my friends in Oki for your encouragement and support ! I will continue gourding and you will still be able to purchase my gourds through this web site. Also, please check out the June 19th edition of the Japan update . I was pleased to find that they had printed an article about my gourds written by Kathy Diener. You can also view the article on-line @The Japan Update
